Removing Impacted Wisdom Teeth
Wisdom teeth that never fully emerged into their expected positions are referred to as “impacted”. The cause may be a shortage of room on the jaw or an improper angle of the tooth, and removal is sometimes necessary to keep the wisdom tooth from pressing against other teeth and pushing them out of place.
Used to replace missing teeth, dental implants are stronger and more durable than other treatments (bridges and dentures). They are becoming more and more popular as a permanent solution for lost teeth.
Improvement of Denture Fit
When dentures chip, crack, break, fit poorly or constantly irritate your mouth and gums, you should see your dentist. Your gums adapt to the dentures within the first year, but both gums and bone continue to change throughout your life, causing your dentures to loosen and give your problems. By improving the fit of your dentures, you will improve your quality of life. You’ll regain your confidence and peace of mind knowing your dentures won’t come loose or cause discomfort.
When a tooth has been damaged by decay to the point that it can no longer be restored, extraction may be necessary. Teeth may also have to be extracted to make room for orthodontic treatment.
